IT’S MAGIC – IT MAKES YOUR AIR CONDITIONER BETTER THAN NEW
“#1 RATED COLDEST AIR” or “COLDER AIR UP TO 50% FASTER”
Well, maybe not. Most auto parts stores and many big box retailers sell magic in a can, R134A refrigerant with various additives and some often wild claims. There are no quick solutions and no silver bullets. There are short cuts that may come back to haunt you; can add additional problems that mask the original issue and can end up costing more to resolve.
Adding chemicals to seal leaks can range from O’ring seal swellers to gelatins that clog up air conditioner passages to aerobic materials that produce masses upon contact with air found in a malfunctioning system. Many repair shops just will not work on vehicles that have had these miracle products introduced from sad experience. Not only is the air conditioner at risk, so is the service machinery used by the repair shop.
No vehicle manufacturers, compressor or other air conditioning parts manufacturers condone the use of these “performance enhancers”. Use only products that are recommended by your credible auto service shop or vehicle manufacturer.
